Academy Overview

The Academy's elementary program consists of grades 1-5 set up in self-contained classrooms. The subjects taught are based around the Core Knowledge curriculum and are leveled towards each students individual abilities. The Language Arts program focuses on classical literature, Orton-Gillinggham Approach, Handwritnig Without Tears, and Reading A-Z.

The math program utilizes Saxon math and hands on learning approaches. Other subjects include science, social studies, music, art, and drama. Special classes throughout the week include physical education, Spanish, computers and library.

With Krambrooke's recent application process commencment for the International Bacceloreat Organization Primary Years Program, elementary classrooms produce meaningful units that are inquiry based. Students are also encouraged to show international mindedness and caring towards others.
