Butterflies and Bloom Early Reading Classes
KGA offer early reading programs for children ages 3-5. Our goal is to provide exciting classes that immerse young children phonics, letter recognition, reading and writing in order to prepare them for kindergarten.
Our early reading programs include:
- Literacy Program for preschoolers, pre-kindergarteners, and kindergarteners
- Kindergarten preparation through Phonics, Reading, and Writing Lessons
- Phonics Practice featuring the Phonics First Program; a multi-sensory approach to learning.
- Sight Word and Reading Practice using a variety of stories, poems, and leveled readers
- Literature based activities that teach reading comprehension and other important skills
- Handwriting Practice
- Hands-on learning activities
- Low teacher/student ratio
Butterflies Early Reading
Ages 3-4
Join us for fun with reading, phonics, writing, and letter recognition! We will reinforce the letters of the alphabet and their sounds through games, songs, stories, and exciting hands on activities. Our classes are specifically tailored to 3, 4, and 5 year olds, and are designed to help prepare children for elementary school!
Bloom-Pre Kindergarten Reading Class
Ages 4-5
Get ready to read before starting Kindergarten! Join us for fun with sight words, phonics, word families, and creative writing! We will introduce all the skills necessary to help your child become a great reader in kindergarten! Through multi-sensory lessons , students will have the opportunity to explore all areas of literacy!
Summer Bridges (June-August Only)
Entering 1st and 2nd Grade
Summer Bridges is a fun way to keep reading and writing skills fresh! The bridges class is tailored specifically toward students who will be entering 1st and 2nd grade. We place an emphasis on strengthening skills previously learned in kindergarten and first grade. Classes include activities centered around a leveled reading program, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and phonics activities. Throughout the summer, students will be exposed to a wide variety of literature, hands on activitiets, and creative writing experiences.
